Dear Mark, Thank you for the comment on Google. You came in to see us some months ago with an old Rolex watch, possibly from the 1970s, you wanted, from my memory, an idea of its value. Whilst handling the watch in front of you I noted that the case seal was hanging out from the case back. Case back seals only come out like this when someone has removed the case back, then when putting it back on because the seal is old and stretched it doesnt re-seat properly. Thats why it was loose and hanging out. I can honestly say I did not note whether it was working or not, I did not try to hand wind the watch. The watch has possibly not had a full service for many years, we spoke on the phone and I offered to have our Rolex accredited watchmaker to take a look at it for you, it was this watch maker that removed the case back whilst it was with us in the first place, you declined this, stating quite aggressively that we had done something to the watch. We did absolutely nothing to the movement of your watch. We are very happy to take a look at it for you, you can be present in the workshop with the watchmaker, he will then identify why it is not working. I would imagine from experience that it may just need a full service and new mainspring. Not sure who has quoted you 1000.00 but I can assure you our Rolex full service would be considerably less than that. If you would like to contact me to arrange this please do so. Tim Owens Director. Really disappointed- went in to get a quick insurance valuation and the strap adjusted on my recently deceased fathers watch-they decided to open the casing to fix a loose seal and it stopped working. So then I was left with a bill of close to 1k to get serviced and sorted which I cant afford - so cant use my fathers watch which worked perfectly up to this visit. The response from Watches was totally defensive and really very unpleasant. Shame.

Great company and great service. Tim his the best salesperson I have ever met and I've worked on Bond St for over 20 years so I know what good service is. Walked out with exactly what I came for, can't ask for more than that Would I come back?... diffinatley, providing the wife doesn't find the reciept from this one

Great experience when I visited last week. Excellent customer service, nothing to much for John and his team and a watch service that exceeded my expectations. Cant ask for more than that!
